Making a pizza requires a large amount of yeast and also always check the expiration date on the yeast package and make sure it is not sill expired. Also, you can use purpose flour instead of using bread flour so that the pizza will be made with crispier. Also, the measurements that are given here depend on the size of the spoon you have so we have mentioned the ingredients in weight to make sure that you get the accurate measurement.
- Olive oil
- Sauce (Tomato)
- Mushrooms (very thinly sliced)
- Bell peppers
- Pepperoncini (Italian)
- Fresh Basil (chopped)
- Feta Cheese
- 355ml warm water
- 2 ¼ teaspoons of dry active yeast
- 490 g bread flour
- 2 spoon of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar2 teaspoon salt
In yeast sprinkle the warm water and let them sit on the yeast for a minimum 5 minutes the make the yeast dissolved. After the time of 5 minutes stir the yeast well if it still did not have been dissolved. Finally, the yeast should begin to bloom showing that the yeast is still active.
By using the mixing paddle you have to mix the flour, olive oil, salt and sugar in low speed for only one minute. If you don’t have the mixer then you can mix these ingredients with hands itself.
Rise the Dough
You have to spread the olive oil slightly over the large bowl. Then place the pizza dough in the large bowl and heat them on both sides to make sure that is coated on both sides with oil. Now you can choose two types of fermentation. One is you have to do a slow fermentation for 24 hours inside the fridge. Doing slow fermentation will give a good flavor in the dough. Also if you need to do them quickly then you can choose quick fermentation by which you have to store them in a warm place for 1 ½ hour so that it will make the dough rise sufficiently.
In order to do a medium fermentation, you have to store them in the regular room temperature for around 8 hours. But then you do fermentation the more good amount of tastiness you will get.
Preparing the Pizza
Step 1. Preheat the pizza stone
Place the pizza stone on your oven and preheat the stone to 475 F for around 30 minutes. In case if you don’t have a pizza stone you can use pizza pan as the replacement.
Step 2. Divide the Dough
Remove the plastic cover placed over the dough when you remove them to make sure you divide the dough into two balls in half amount. After dividing them place them on a separate bowl and cover them with plastic and let them sit in there for 15 minutes minimum and for 2 hours the most.
Step 3. Prepare the Toppings
Everyone desires their own taste for toppings to make the taste of pizza tastier. Also, make sure that you don’t add the toppings extra if you do then the toppings of the pizza will not be crispy.
Step 4. Dough Ball
Take a ball of dough and try to flatten them with your hands also make sure to work at one dough ball at a time or else it will get messy. Use the tips of your finger to make the dough ball thicker. After the process let the dough stay in idle position for a minimum 5 mins.
Step 5. Apply Olive Oil
We have to apply the top of the dough with the olive oil in order to make the toppings well fixed with top of the dough. Also in order to prevent the bubbling make the dents in the top surface of the dough. After the process let it rest in idle position for 15 minutes. Apply the same process to every ball of dough.
Step 6. Cover the Pizza Peel with Corn Meal
Sprinkle the pizza peel with the cornmeal lightly. So that the cornmeal will help the pizza to move in the oven. After the process, if dough lost its shape then try to make it back to its desired shape.
Step 7. Sauce and Toppings
Add a spoon of tomato sauce in pizza and cover the pizza with cheese. Finally, place the toppings you have prepared earlier on the pizza.
Step 8. Cover the Pizza Stone with Cornmeal
Try to cover the pizza stone with the cornmeal but make sure you maintain a minimum distance from the stone or else you will get your hand burnt. After the process shakes the pizza in the stone to make sure it can slide easily then only it will get heated correctly or else try to add extra cornmeal in the edges of the pizza. Then slide the pizza to make the cornmeal spread across the pizza stone.
Step 9. Baking the Pizza
Now bake the pizza with the help of an oven. Don’t try to heat more than one pizza at the same time. Bake a pizza in the oven for about 15 minutes to make the cheese and the toppings well fit in the pizza. If you think that the cheese amount you added is not enough then you can add some more to make it even tastier.
This is a way to make a tasty pizza from your home itself. If you don’t have a pizza pan then you can use the pan as an alternative one. Also, make sure not to overburn the pizza or else the entire process will be wasted. Share this article with your friends and family.
